I discovered Neil's dance offerings a few years ago while searching for "group" ballroom classes in the Milwaukee area. First attending on my own, I was soon accompanied in the fun by friends along with my husband. Today, we continue to study under his direction. From quickstep to rumba, there is plenty to keep us dancing.

My dance partner and I both competed in college and started dancing together when I moved to Milwaukee. We began taking group classes with Neil and quickly moved to private lessons to prepare for competitions. Neil has shown great talent for giving us seemingly simple advice that makes a huge difference in our dancing. He has provided us with some very fun and challenging routines and instruction that have helped us place very well. He continues to push us to perform better and compete at a much higher level. With Neils help, we were able to take First place in the International Standard Silver level and Second place in the Gold level at the National Collegiate Championships in Ohio.
Neil has an obvious passion for dance, which comes through in his very entertaining teaching style.
We would recommend Neil to anyone interested in learning to dance whether they intend to compete, or just dance around their living room.

When you’re a teenager and your homework for the week is to use the words ‘indeed’ and ‘jolly good’ in school, you know you’ve found a fun teacher! I’ve been dancing with Neil for a year and have laughed and learned a lot. Even when I make mistakes, he conjures up my laughter with comments such as ‘that was interesting’, or ‘what you did just then was very pretty; pretty, but wrong’, and takes care to show me the right way to execute the step. I look forward to lessons every week, knowing that I’ll find the perfect balance of humor and learning!

After years of taking lessons from fine teachers, we switched to Neil for two reasons. One, we liked what we saw watching him dance and two, we felt he could take us to another level in our techniques and steps. It was significant to us that he taught dance instructors. Much to our amazement, he was very competitively priced, especially against Fred Astaire Studios.
As we drive home from our lessons, we reflect that they are always excellent and the only delay to our progress is our insufficient practice time to incorporate all we learn. Neil is very precise, specific and correct when he analyzes our dancing and what needs to change. He will humor us until we get it right. We like his choice of music at the lessons as well as the parties he hosts. Our goal is to be good social dancers. It has been great fun as empty nesters to get back to dancing on our “dates”.

Neil has been my dancing instructor for over four years, and during that time I have taken individual, couple, and group lessons from him. Not only does he bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the lessons, but also lots of fun,good humor and an abundance of patience.
In addition to my personal lessons, for the last three years Neil has taught small groups of West Milwaukee Middle School students the basics of ballroom dance and introduced them to Tango, Swing and Salsa.
